After more than an hour of searching old threads regarding the infamous C7 warble sound occurring at approx 1500 RPM under a slight load, I located the supposed fix - TSB #20-NA-041 - Warble Noise From Rear Of Vehicle - dated May 2020. Bought my Vette - a 2016 C7 A8 base model about nine months ago - and it has the warble as heard by many after listening to Strake's video back in 2016. Thanks for producing that @Strake! So -- sorry to start a new thread on it but for those newbies like myself it will help to determine the course of action minus hours of hunting. Specifically, did the TSB actually solve the issue and, if your car was no longer under warranty, how painful was it from a cost standpoint?
Thanks in advance!
Jim
UPDATE: Replaced the rear differential fluid on 2 Mar 26 (Chevrolet dealership for $238) and NO WARBLE - yet!
I had the same issue but it went away after I replaced all of the differential oil. Here's what I used: Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 100% Synthetic Gear Lube, plus 1 tube of Amsoil Slip Lock Differential Additive. Once replaced, Amsoil recommends driving a few "figure 8's" to work it all in. I did this a year ago and the problem disappeared completely. Best of luck!
I put a stamp on #3 as well. When I changed the diff gear oil in my 2014, it was a half quart low rom the factory, but there wasn't a ton of gunk on the magnet. I might not have had much of a warble, but I can sure say the rear is smooth and quiet. It is definitely a super easy DIY project and doesn't cost a lot as a starting point.
Had my rear differential fluid replaced yesterday at the Chevy dealership for $238. Drove it home (about six miles) and NO WARBLE! Intend to put it to a better test today - to include doing some figure 8s!
My C7 has the warble even after the Chevy dealer replaced my differential side cover and seal, which is the supposed fix that the TSB 20-NA-041 mentions. I had that done under warranty back in 2022 and it only fixed the issue for about 3 or 4000 miles and then it came back. So I'm just going to live with it, because I've never heard of anyone on here having the problem so bad that it actually caused the differential to blow, it's just an annoying noise.
I've experienced the infamous C7 warble on my 2022 ZR1, it's super frustrating when it appears under load or when the revs get above 5k, I've tried adjusting the exhaust valves but it seems like it's still a software issue that GM has yet to fully iron out.

I haven’t noticed a warble on my 2014 but have not checked the differential oil level. I need to do that and may just go ahead and change the oil to be safe.
I have heard it can occur with C7 models with A8s and M7 but is more prevalent with A8 equipped C7s. Also more common with the 2014-2016 model years.
It doesn't matter what year it is, as the differential is the same from 2014-2019. It really only affects C7s that come without Z51, so they have the taller 2.41 rear end gear ratio. The 2.73 geared differentials don't seem to have this issue, nor do any of the M7 cars as they've got the 3.42 ratio.
