Ac issues
Hey everyone, looking for some input on a noise issue I've been experiencing on my 2019 C7 Corvette Grand Sport (LT1).
The issue is a rattling/clinking noise coming from what sounds like the AC compressor area. Here's when I notice it:
• While the car is running with the AC on, especially at idle
• During and right after shutdown when the AC has been running
• It's been consistent — not a one time thing
I currently have the car at a dealership under an Allstate aftermarket warranty. The tech is saying they can't duplicate the noise and there are no codes being thrown. I did send them a video of it happening but still no luck so far.
The car has the Range AFM disabler on it (removed before the shop visit) and has been well maintained. No other issues aside from this.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be the AC compressor itself, a clutch issue, or something else in that system? Any input would be appreciated — trying to figure out what I'm dealing with before the dealership just sends it back to me unresolved. Thanks!
