Hey, I've recently did a muffler delete and it barely increased the volume. Those who have high flow cats, does installing them make the car noticeably louder? Is the smell still acceptable? Also, does installing high flow cats cause a CEL?
My other option is getting a X-pipe to get rid of the secondary cats, but I'm wondering if it really makes much of a sound difference.
Most aftermarket "high flow cats" are inferior in quality compared to the oem cats ( you get what you pay for). If you are looking for more sound, long tube headers would help. I would advise you not to go completely cat less as you may indeed get that rotten egg smell at stop lights
I installed the EOS X-pipe. It replaces the secondary cat's. It does increase the sound, but not to crazy. Easy to install, not that expensive, and can be returned to OEM.
