Has anybody used vinyl wrap placed over front grille chrome strip? Thoughts on chrome strip wrapped with same color as Corvette body? (Would be easy to do and reversable)

I did that, took about 20 minutes and looks great. Did it in two pieces to make it easier.
Nope. I used 3M Scotch 33+ black vinyl electrical tape. Scotch 88 is good, too. Don't use cheap tape --- too glossy and won't last.
Now, that stupid bar is almost invisible.
