Default Can we override autodim mirrors?

First night drive tonight. I found my side and rear mirrors were in autodim mode all the way. Yes, it cuts down headlight glare, but I can't see the car bodies behind me. No way to see if the joker following me is a police vehicle. I didn't see anything in the manual or on Settings screens that would let me adjust the mirrors for normal reflection. Do you know of a way?

Autodimming mirrors are controlled by electricity. The external mirrors can easily be removed and the electric power removed (unplugged) from the glass mirror and then re-inserted in the housing.

Can't believe they took this away. My C6 did this with a button on the rear view mirror.
