Today in between breaks in the clouds, I ran the car up to Tune Time Performance in Lakewood to throw it on the dyno.
Car has ~260 miles on it.
It made 379rwhp/380rwtq (SAE corrected) on a Mustang Dyno through the 6-speed automatic in "Tr" with the flaps open.
Tune Time's dyno is stingy, as are many Mustang Dynos. According to the owner Matt, C6 Z06's dyno ~428 rwhp, C6 ZR1's ~500 rwhp and an A6 GS with CAI did 367 rwhp on his dyno. Of note, Matt logged the car during the pulls and noted that it is very rich from the factory and only has ~16* of timing (LS3's typically have ~24*). He feels there is quite a bit in just a tune.
I drove one yesterday for the first time - it definitely lacks top end power and was quite unimpressive. Low end was great around town but running the car hard it just felt really flat running through the gears at higher rpm's. Too bad the heads have to be pulled and the lifters replaced to do a cam job on the C7
Hopefully they will do a better job with the Z07 or whatever is ends up being...
Timing doesn't surprise me at all. The more efficient a combustion chamber is the less timing it needs. Old school SBCs run low 30s timing, but as you saw LS motors run low/mid 20s. Now you've got this new LT motor in the teens.

Yes, because when you compare an M7 C7 to an M6 C6 on the same dyno you can see how much the "torque falls off a cliff".
And the 22whp delta between the C7 and the A6 C7 was with the C6 modded with a CAI and I believe a tune.

Any graph can be made to look flat or "fall off a cliff" depending on the vertical scaling. Change the increments, and you change the curve. What you need to do to compare is to determine % trq/hp increase/decrease per unit RPM (100rds on horizontal scale) to see how drastic the change is.

Just build an excel spread sheet with your data and play with the axis and you'll see what I'm talking about. You can make graphs look any way you want by changing the scaling, so it pays to look at the % change to see what is really going on. Just look at the Redline graph and you can see what I'm talking about. They use 50 unit scaling on both axis, but the horizontal scale is stretched out more than the vertical (rectangle grid vice square grid). Square that scaling up and see what the curve looks like; much more drastic change in the vertical, but the numbers are still the same. The graph of your dyno curve is actually exaggerated in the vertical (38hX40v) so it makes your curve look like it's "falling off a cliff". It's all for presentation and effect.
