Default Pfadt tune installed

I installed the Pfadt tune in the C7 (A6 Z51 with NPP) and I'm very pleased with the initial improvements.

1. The tune has definitely amped up the horsepower but my mechanic is out of town until next week so I'll have to wait to get the car on the dyno to validate the increase. This is the only mod I've done to the engine so far.
2. The biggest benefit has been the improved throttle response. Prior to the tune, there seemed to be a large dead spot in the throttle just after you started accelerating. The throttle now reacts quicker and acceleration is a lot more linear than before.

The tune is software and a cable and requires using your laptop to install the tune but I figure most people have access to a laptop.

The install does take several minutes so make sure you press and hold the start button (without the foot on the brake pedal, you don't want to start the car) for about 8-10 seconds. This allows the car to stay in accessary mode and not shut down in the middle of the tune.

You will download the tune software from the Pfadt website and they will email you the tune specific for your car. Make sure you right click on the tune software and run it as an administrator. I had some issues where my Norton 360 antivirus didn't like how the software ran but it cleared all the virus checks. All this is also provided with their instructions on how to install the tune.

Overall I'm pleased with the results and I'm anxious to get the car on the dyno. As soon as that happens I'll update this post with the results.

What were you stock dyno numbers - and are you A6 or M7 trans?

A6
Z51
Performance exhaust
93 octane
402 stock number

My engine seems to idle a little rough so I plan to replace the stock plugs shortly to see if that makes a difference. The miss was there before the tune so if I can get the car to smooth out maybe I can get a few more horses.
