Purchasing non-Z51 car and want to install Z51 rear sway bar. Part is under $270. Dealer advises against stating that this would be an involved job with many parts to remove to place bar within sub-frame, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? Want to achieve ride of non-Z51with a few suspension tweaks. Thanks

The dealer is blowing smoke. The install is very similar to the c5 or c6 rear sway bar install. However , if you don't install the front bar also, it will probably. Make it tail happy.
You need the bar, bushings, brackets, bolts and endlinks... then just bolt it all in. Do the front bar or the car will be tail happy. Should probably drive the car before you start modding. GM engineers obviously found they could control roll sufficiently with the monoleaf out back.

Pfadt Engineering (a forum vendor) is in the suspension business and has a C7 for product engineering purposes. They could tell you exactly what parts are needed for what results.
