After 3 months of having these on my car I can say this is one of the best mods I have done. I am not sure why I waited so long to do it.

- Car stays cleaner much longer! 2-3 weeks compared to my stock Z51 pads which was a few days at most. (this is my DD)
- Breaking is about 85-90% as good as the Z51 pads.
- No squeal.
- They are not cheap, but they are more than worth it!

I purchased Hawks Ceramic Pads for both my GS and my wifes. The padlets do not contact the entire rotor and consequently both cars have an approximately 1/4" rust ring near the hub of the rotors where there is no contact to rub off the rust after car washes.

Would we have this same problem with the Carbotech pads? Is there a fix before I purchase new pads.

Additionally, I have a C7 Stingway with the Z51 package. I conceivably I need three sets of pads and do not want the same issue. I am definitely purchasing pads for th C7 and want to make an informed purchase.

Can you post some photos of what you are talking about? I have seen this with the rear of the c6 z51 not a GS.

Thanks Adam for responding. See attached. Same results on all four wheels on both cars.

Bill, I think you should definitely go for the 1521 for the C7 that way you can see how they perform compared to the hawk. As far as the photos I really don't see any issue. I see what you mean but, I think this is normal wear. On the GS are you using the 1 piece pad?
