I was going to post something similar to this but figured there would be way too many butthurt posters.

I think the new Z06 is a great setup.

Unfortunately I do not see the point in ME buying one, just me. I do not want to wait another year to drive a car that you could build yourself.

With the C6 you could build a car as quick as a Z06 or a ZR1, you could make it look like but, but they ever would be a Z06 or ZR1.

Now for lack of a better term its a bunch of bolt ons.

Gone are the items that differentiated the cars. Frame differences, body panel material differences.

People will say warranty and to a lot of people that is important, to me its not. I would bet if you looked at the number of after market FI cars and compared them to factory LS7's which one had a higher failure rate?

I was pretty excited to hear the announcement but 18 some months, I'd rather buy and make one now and enjoy it the entire time. You can put most the car together today, add the body panels when they come out.
