Halltech StingerCKN Problem-Fix

What the hell? We typically see +.8 to +2% LTFTs so I immediately thought huge air leak, but where? First look the connector hose to the tiny throttle body had an open area that looked like a mouth ready for oral surgery. A huge gap caused by the hose being .250" too big at the i.d.We have delivered 10 or so intakes, so Monday, we have our original 3.75" X 4" hump connector hose going out to replace the larger hump hose.

Current orders were caught in time, so no changes if you have not yet received you system.
After retesting fuel trims today, all lean issues are resolved with the change in connector hose. I would expect +14 RWHP without tuning. The hose was leaking under maximum vacuum signal. Good thing we caught this.
Vengeance racing may find even more horsepower with the new hose. The problem is you cannot visually seen the opening since it is on the bottom of the hose to throttle body area. The new hose makes tuning completely unnecessary. That was the source of our occasional lean issue, and probably why adding a small amount of fuel back bumped the hp on our two test vehicles.
