Default C7 Standing Mile

Through a quick google search, I couldn't find much about what speed this car traps at the end of a mile. Only one I saw was 158 mph, which seemed kind of slow to me. Times for a stock C6 Z06 were showing to be around 175 mph, and stock ZR1's trapping well over 180 mph, many hitting around 185. Anybody run this car on the mile? What do you think the average speed would be? Is it really over 15mph slower than the Z06?

I would think 10mph slower than z06 would be about right. That low end torque everyone always raves about is only good at lower rpms.

That would make more sense, but over 15 mph slower is kind of disappointing. Just looked up standing mile times for the base C6 Corvette with an LS3. The speeds between the C7 and base C6 are within 1 mph of each other.

A mile is a long way and the extra weight of the C7 comes into play. Go to the Texas Mile website and see how the C7s ran at the last event, one for sure was there and it was modded

I saw the video of the Hennessey stock C7 run the mile and it fell on it's face in the top end. I was hoping for at least 165mph. It doesn't really accelerate any more than an LS3 Vette. Every other aspect, the C7 trounces the C6 though.
