i don't know how many of you get "Vette" magazine, but in the may 2014 issue, they tested a base c7 coupe. it was a 3lt, non-z51, auto in velocity yellow. it ran a best of 11.736 at 118.76. the range over many runs was 11.7 to 11.8 and 117-118 mph.
they tested in palm beach. what is somewhat surprising, it that none of the big mags, MT, C&D, R&T, came close to these times. i know the auto is quicker and maybe all the others tested a 7sp mnl.
they did not think much of the road course performance due to the auto/non z-51 in the test car.
these times would be around 3rd fastest on our "fast list"
Wow.....I have the auto and it seems pretty quick. It all makes sense now. Because in the C7 fast list, two A6's are up top....with a best 11.49 and 11.61. Just wondering why GM was holding this car back.
