There is a 6.2L DI aluminum block engine with AFM in the Silverado.
420 hp and 460 ft-lb torque.
It is called the EcoTech3. Is this the same engine as the LT-1 in the Stingray?
Other than obvious exhaust plumbing, what would the difference be?
Heads?
I just sold a 72 LT-1 which has tags "LT ONE". I was wondering if it would be incorrect to use the tags on the 6.2L Silverado. (Don't want the PC Police to come get me)
Any help?

As you found, it is the L86. It is related as they are both Gen V V8s, but they have differences based on their intended applications.
This article compares the truck engines to the Corvette engine: http://www.enginelabs.com/news/corve...uch-in-common/
Yup... I have one sittin in my driveway... It's to bad the accessory drive is not the same as the vette, I would have a ecs bracket on it already if it was!
That is what I was going to do...then I got a chance to get the c7 early. I told a friend that I wanted the 6.2 di engine and it happened to come first in a vette instead of the pickup.
