So I just got my RX Performance catch can installed today. I read a lot of reviews online and just about every review was positive. Plus I live only 20 minutes from their shop and figured I would bring the car down there and have them do the install.
The unit looks very nice, is painted to match the color of the car, and I must say Tracey was a pleasure to deal with. He was very informative during the install as I was there with him installing it. He explained everything in detail and explained how everything works.
For those debating whether or not to have a catch can installed, I would highly recommend it, especially if you are running forced induction. My oil level is at the correct level and I had some oil in my intake, not a lot, but there still was some in there. This is now just one thing less that I have to worry about.

Hey Brian. Nicely done! I had one on my CTS-V Wagon for 2 year without issue and I ended up catching a LOT of oil over that time that would have otherwise ended up in my intake. Your car is coming together nicely. I might have to come over and drive it finally
If you want to get some fancy hose, go with Earl's Pro-Lite 350. That's what my LMR can uses, and I was going to source some more. Not cheap, but if you only need 3 feet, it's manageable. 10-foot sections start getting stupidly expensive, though!
I was worried that might be the case. Any idea why a catch can isn't enough to solve the problem? Thanks.
A catch can doesn't filter or purify air. it only redirects it to a more convoluted route. Of course some of it will get caught in the trap but as long as oil molecules are suspended in the air and that air still has to go to the engine, oil will come with it.

I know you weren't. Whether its a good value or not is opinion.
I prefer to go the vacuum pump route if I do modify the PCV system. It's a 100% solution.
