Well crap on a hat - those are my specs down to a T (1mm off on the fronts).
I'm using 315/30/20s, though. That 35 was killing you - 28.41 diameter vs 27.44 on mine. Hopefully mine fare better, but they're an inch smaller diameter, which I think would be more than enough to eliminate your issues from the looks of it.
I ordered a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport cup's 305/30/20 I think they will fit nice and be pretty soft. I haven't found a drag radial in that size yet but still looking. If all else fails I might buy a set of the same wheels in 19 x 11 and run 305/35/19's drag radials for the track

no problems with it rubbing the lip of the quarter panels on turns or bumps?

Not a clue, don't have the car here. Just have my fingers crossed that it will work out. Looking at the numbers, it seems like it should be okay.
Also, looking at your scuffs, subtracting at least a half inch from each side (1" less diameter) would fix that rubbing. Those new tires should be just fine for you.

If you're looking for out-of-the-hole grip, anything short of a drag radial will leave you disappointed.
Those are nice tires, but they will not come close to a MT drag radial for acceleration traction.
If you are drag racing, get an 18" wheel with Mickeys. That's your best solution.
I might not make it to the track If I don't work out all the other issues. I don't think it would be the tires but after a mile of driving the car is giving me "service stabilitrack light and lighting uo the abs and brake light. also the power steering stops working. If I let it sit for 5 minutes its fine until I drive it for a mile
I have a C7 coupe and love driving it on the track. Took it to Houston MSR last weekend and it ran hot! I'm in need of new tires for track purposes, too. Any suggestions for the standard Coupe? Track is a track, but I want some tires that will last out there... especially in the Texas heat! Would also welcome coolant suggestions. I used Water Wetter and it seemed to keep things cool enough for me to make my runs (day 2).
