Default Breaking in a C7

Picking up my C7 tomorrow, any tips on breaking it in correctly.

For the first 500 miles, vary your speed as much as possible (don't do a long distance run in cruise control), don't exceed the temporary 4500 RPM redline and don't lug the engine. Also, go easy on the brakes.

Break in procedures are covered in the manual. It might be worth taking a look at that if you have not already.

Agree with both above. Follow your owners manual to the letter. Same goes for oil changes. Above all, do not follow advice of those who have their own break in "philosophy". I've seen some scary thinking on that topic in this site, some of it apparently dating back to 1957, and some from God knows where. Do it right and you'll have a strong and pristine engine after break in. Have fun.
