Default B&b bullets are awesome !

First big thanks to the guys at Southerncartparts.com ! A vendor here on CF. Amazing service and very patient!

Installed the B&B (billy Boat) exhaust on a 100% stock C7 7speed. I did not have the NPP setup on my car so i needed a throaty mean sounding exhaust. B&B makes 2 types for non NPP the PRT and the Bullets. Worried that the PRT would be slightly louder (my car sounded like a cadillac..) I decided to roll the dice with the Bullets. Man are they amazing! Best sounding exhaust on a vette. I have zero drone at 75mph in 7th.

WOT sounds 10x better. throaty deep sound. I highly recommend them for those who like a muscle car sound.

ill get a video up tomorrow.

So do the bullets have any valve or they straight thru? I'm not sure what exhaust will work on my car? Base 2LT without the performance exhaust. Not sure if I have existing valves or not, right now I got the engine sound management turned off but need the muscle car sound!

And is there any performance difference between the PRT and The Bullets?

I had the PRT on mine but got rear-ended and now have to replace. Was thinking about going with the Bullets this time but concerned about the drone. The PRT's had almost no drone. Do the Bullets have any at all? I know you said not in 7th....what about 2500-3000 RPM?

Thanks!

I have the PRT's coming next week

Why do you want the Bullets this time? Were the PRT's not loud enough?
How much louder than stock are they? You have Me nervous now.

FYI. I have the Fusion with headers and I have a really bad drone from 1500-2000rpm. In 6th and 7th on the freeway this is moderately annoying. However, after a few road trips I've found that leaving the car in 7th on the freeway sucks for gas mileage so I can avoid it to an extent.

In 7th 80mph none. They are pretty loud rowing the gears until i get into 6th- 7th. Ill check if they drone at 2500-3000 .

They have more of a drone under 1500rpms in top gear.

I've always loved the way bullets sound on C5s and C6s, I really want to hear them on a C7....

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered the Bullets today. I guess if there is too much drone I will just switch them out. The vids on YouTube sound awesome though!

I love my bullets, they are the best sounding IMO. I will post a clip of mine before I got the headers on

I believe the actual "bullet mufflers" were 2-7/8" inside diameter on C5 model and the tubing was smaller at 2.5". Not sure of C7 factory exhaust ID.

Day after tomorrow! Mine are getting installed. I can hardly wait. I've got over 250,000 miles with them on C6s, and love them. I just hope they are as loud, because they do, apparently, have butterfly valves on them like the NPP.

Right now, the car sounds entirely too European for my taste.

It's funny, because I'd give anything for this to sound more like a Redhead, but I keep going in the opposite direction with the cam, etc.

Would need to change over way too much to make it scream like one of those (and then it wouldn't sound right coming from a 'Vette).

I'm contemplating the Fusion system, but the NPP has a great look and sound as it is... Decisions, decisions...

Got My PRT's in and they did not come with any clamps? Are they suppose too? Also, the valve, is there a way to have it opened all the time without any codes?

Having them put on soon and wanted to know about this before?

Thanks!

B&B PRTs only have the AFM valves. These only actuate when you go into V4 mode.

There are no secondary NPP valves to keep open as you were asking for.

So how do the valves work that I do have? I run it in track most of the time and don't think I've ever heard 4 cylinder mode yet? And not sure if I want to ...... I bought a V8 .....

V4 mode (DoD) only kicks in under certain conditions.

If you have a manual, it will only come on in certain conditions (read: modes other than Sport and Track). Automatics tend to have it pop up more regularly even in Sport.

Anyway, when the car enters V4 mode, those valves 'close' (restrict flow) to quiet the unpleasant sounding exhaust pulses generated from the V4 operation.
