Default Bottom or mouth feeder

Is the C7 base getting most of its cooling air for its mouth or the bottom?

And it looks like only 1/3 of the air is exhausted through the hood vent based on the shrouding....

If you look under the nose of the front bumper you will see that it is completely closed in. No opening like in the C5.

Cooling air comes through the grill and the hot air goes out over the car. Unfortunately, while it does that, it most likely heats up the air intake as the intake is directly under the air extractor in the hood and parallels the radiator. Hello heat soak

The question should be how do we get cool air into the intake tract
