GM handed out these alignment settings for the track but didn't enable their people to do it properly. In order to get to the toe and camber settings in the rear a modification needs to be done to the control arm, apparently some of the washers need to come out. The best they could do for me was -1.2 degrees of camber in the rear. Otherwise it was a fairly large job. My dealer only charged me $89 for an alignment and spent the better part of 2 hours on trying to get it to specification.
Hunter machine didn't have Caster on it. What a joke....the difference between a Porsche, BMW and Corvette mechanic is painfully obvious. Most of these dealerships are working on vans, trucks and Cruzes.
The car is going to a race shop for all future non warranty work.
Not only should they be able to do it they should offer to do it once for free.
I always go to a racing shop for alignments on everything except my truck. It's bit more expensive but it's the only option if you know exactly where you want your settings to be.
Owning a GTR isn't any better from this perspective.

do you have another dealer around you? my dealer can definitely do anything I need done.
I do in my town but they are less capable then these guys they don't even have a Corvette Tech.
I have a very competent race shop near me that is where the car is going for all future work, they are really good and professional. They know what the hell their doing.
I mentioned the free alignment and they said no way this was for a track set up not a warranty. They actually complained because they estimated me at $89 for the alignment and they spent two hours because they were calling GM tech support trying to figure out how to get to those standards.
So I said your upset because you can't charge me for your incompetence?

No alignment machine I know of can measure rear caster. There's no way to do a caster swing like the front. Caster is a calculation based off of camber change from (as in our Hunter) a 10* left turn to a 10* right turn. There is a tool to measure rear caster available. Same tool for doing rear caster on Solstice/Sky cars.
