ARH Long Tubes Installed/Review
I sent mine off to a coater and had the insides done with 2000 degree race coating and the outside done in 1200 degree Chromakote. Judging from the feedback of the installer he was quite pleased with the fitment of the ARH headers and said they installed like an OEM piece. Actually the OEM piece looked much cheaper than these.
He ran into a couple of issues installing them, first off the O2 sensors were stuck in the pipes and ended up stripping, make sure you can find a replacement sensor there are not many around. The other issue was the ARH gaskets which he threw away and re-used the stock ones. He felt the quality of these were not good and would result in a quick failure.
While the car was being done I also had the rear pipes wrapped by the transmission and rear dif to keep heat transfer to a minimum. I will see what difference this makes on the track. Overall no issues no noise and no leaks.
Impressions: They said to me this car is no louder than it was, then I said do you have it in Sport mode....what is sport mode? I got in the car and flipped the dial. HOLY CRAP!!! Talk about going from mild to wild you do it this simply. This shop is a race shop for Porsche's and Tudor Sports Car Challenge cars. About 6 guys came over and said what in the hell was that.....the Vette they all said....

This car is insanely loud with the ARH headers and NPP exhaust and the sound is simply intoxicating. Out for a test drive, I got a tune from Vengance racing and I wanted to give it a few blasts. All I can say is the headers made a huge difference in the low end torque and the pull up top. The difference is very noticeable. I thought my race exhausts were loud on my M3 but these are simply insane. The car sounds amazing and the power is intoxicating. What I love about the NPP is you can go to very tame if you need too or you can blow out windows with the baffles open.
I get a dyno and WOT tune on Wed. I'll post results it will be on a Mustang Dyno so the numbers will probably be lower.

Going to be interesting because there are no local tuners where I am located...
The installer is going to leverage an individual who runs an outfit called "Livernois Motorsport) to remote tune the vehicle. Never previously heard of the company or their rep so it will be a bit of a roll of the dice.

I think this is perhaps the most important part about adding mods to a Corvette LT1, get the right tuner who knows what their doing. I wouldn't compromise in this regard.

Seriously though, the 1 3/4" primaries sound small compared to the 1 7/8" and 2" so many are discussing. Do the 1 3/4" flow well enough for up to 500+ hp? Are the 1 7/8" or 2" over kill for "leadville1s" state of tune?

I have complete confidence in Mike and the time I spent talking with tuners was time well spent.
The car is just plain wicked loud, a neighbor a block away said he woke up from his nap when I rev'd my car....seriously a loud car with NPP and Headers.
