Can anyone recommend possible ways to dampen the sound of a supercharger? I just had one installed and it's a little too loud for my tastes. I even hear the constant hissing sound when I'm idle.

Thanks for any help.
I'm going to assume it's an ECS kit, and the hissing you're talking about is the Tial 50 BOV.
It's the loudest BOV because it moves a ton of air. It's a bit much for me, as well, but there are some options...
What brand?
Hows the before & after driving experience changed?
Do you recommend the upgrade?
It's the ECS SC. It's a very noticeable upgrade. I gained around 155rwhp. Was hoping for a little more but it could have been other factors like low octane and the weather being 85 degrees.

Yep, I have the kit, as well, as you can see in the signature.
It's the Tial that you're having an issue with (sound-wise).
There are a few options - one, you can contact Tial and buy the Q bottom-end which is meant for BPV applications and use a filter on it. I'm not sure this will flow sufficiently for our Novi 1500s, but it's an option to pursue.
Or, you could add another BOV to diminish the sound (this was done quite often on the C6 kits).

Thanks for your help Theta. Just to confirm. Adding a second BOV would or should diminish the hissing sound?
2nd bov doesn't make it quieter, not in my opinion. You can try a stiffer spring but I wouldn't suggest that because it may effect drivability. Swapping to a quieter BOV is probably the best choice.
Others who have done this can certainly chime in, but I'm considering this, myself.
By adding a second BOV, you are halving the amount of air travelling through one of the valves. The sound you're hearing is caused by the air moving through the valve, so you would be halving the noise from both idle sucking and blowing off.

That's based on my reading through the C6 section on what others had done in the past.
The best bet is the Tial 50 Q bottom end (cheap and plug-n-play) plus a filter - so long as it moves enough air! Please check that first, though - nothing worse than causing compressor surge because of lack of flow, etc.
You can also run an adapter from that flange to another type of BOV brand (flange adapter required of course).

I had twin valves on my mustang. They would open and close alternate of each other. Gave it a unique fluttering sound.
I was close to purchasing the Edelbrock supercharger, but after seeing the installation instructions,i decided to see a&a but it was pretty much like the edelbrock, too much work,1 of the kits you have to remove the abs,the other disconnecting the steering rack,so im worrying about the installation here in Kuwait, rattling of some sort/problems later on.
The ecs kit seems easier,it says a 1 day installation
It just moves a ton of air... I'm with you, though, Sometimes it's just a little much for driving around.
I'm surprised that with so many C7 supercharger installs that I haven't found discussions about the hissing sound. I guess I didn't search well enough on this topic.
