It's a first here, as well - new for E92 vehicles. I'm used to everything being stored in a BCM.
The CCM is interesting in the specific functions it controls. Seems like Bosch/Siemens didn't want to make the BCM faster, so they went with a secondary logic processor for some of the more interesting/critical track functions.
Also a good idea on the Dynamat (especially Xtreme)... I may have to do that if it doesn't add too much weight. Nice drone killer.

It helps a bit....I'd like to pull the seats and apply some on the wall leading down from the hatch area. That was a good spot to apply it on my old Z06.
The only way for most is to go to the dealer and have it replaced and flashed at whatever cost they'll charge you (that is, if you can find a dealer that will do it).
If you want to try it on your own (which isn't always successful since you have to get a CID approval), you're looking at $1500 to start plus programming fees (and doing your own labor with removing/replacing the ECU).
I was just told if your thinking of modding that is the way to go but it doesn't sound too feasible, besides my car is now in pieces and modding is the last thing on my mind
