Do you have an automatic?
The last thing I would describe the LT1 having is poor throttle response. I would almost describe it as electric motor like response.
But I have a manual and with rev match the car just goes immediately, no pause.

I found the same thing when I loaded Diablo 93 tune
.I just reloaded oem tune to bring car back for first oil change and software update ......My god I forgot how bad the throttle lag was
...the car is just so responsive and crisp with the diablo tune and o ya that dam cags I forgot how S****Y that was too around town...can't wait already to reload the Diablo 93 tune

A6 is just flat slow. I don't know about other owners C7, but mine was terrible. From a
stop, Priuses and Camrys were quicker. During the tuning process the tuner said that
the car had a 135mph limiter built in and off idle to 25mph only 20% throttle available.
