Default JL audio C7 stealthbox/stealth mod

Coming soon… and let me tell you… THIS SYSTEM IS INSANE! The Bose system they took out will have you very disappointed. I wasn't even that disturbed by the factory system until i saw how poorly made they really were… once again Bose is all marketing. The JL system is absolute audio heaven, eargasmsic!!!

2 10's behind the seats. Roof still stows away. Full costco run still fits in the back!

the sound/volume of this is AMAZING!!!!!

All the OEM integration gear, (cleansweeps) work amazing

Custom fit boxes for either 1 or 2 10TW3 subwoofers.
2 x 6.5" C5 components
1 x HD 900/5 Amp delivering 150watts to each door and 300watts to each subwoofer.

Should hit the market in a month or so!!!!

The sad part is that as cheap as the OE system is (and I've had it out to look), it actually doesn't sound that bad. The subwoofer hits harder than I would imagine it should for the size, so the car must have decent acoustics if paper cheapies and two 3/4" Ti dome tweeters can sound halfway decent.

Looking forward to this!

actually.. the 10" door speakers are delivering the bass… the subwoofer isn't for music.. its for the audio pilot noise cancellation

Now I'm sad, because this will interfere with the harness bar...

Bah, can't have it all sometimes.

god, I would put my money someplace else... like under the hood, but every man has their own interests. Adding weight only slows you down :P

I agree, back in the day I was a major car stereo nut, I just got tired of my vehicles getting broken into and everything getting stolen so I got out of it.

For a stock system I was amazed with how good the Bose system in our '09 C6 was, then when the C7 came out surprisingly it was even better. I don't generally turn it wide open, but at 80% I'm plenty happy with the stock Bose setup... Which is amazing because when it comes to Bose, I'm usually in the camp of "No highs, no lows, must be Bose...

Looks like they're using the two bolted tie-down loops (or rather bolting into those holes), so this should be fairly secure since it's directly to the frame.

Not sure what the front part is bolted into, but at least you won't have to worry about it coming forward in a bad forward-inertia crash.

They bolt it using the ties it has on the floor. The thing doesn't move and i can't see the bolts. They also mounted the amp and cleansweeps where the factory bose sub was so its all out of sight! 25 extra lbs for the sub but you are also removing the factory sub and box… weighs less than 3lbs. So grab a DiabloTune, WeaponX TB and an aFe intake and you'll overcompensate for it! Again I am an audiophile and did not crave this until i heard it… If you love the Bose.. stick with it, Im in Delray Beach if anyone wants a listen!!! Literally live concert quality! Keep ya posted

Looks good Andy! 25lbs in the center like that isn't much to worry about... if you go by generalized math, you're talking .025 seconds in the quarter! Plus, as lean as you are, I'm sure you're still ahead of most! I'd be more concerned with that mullet wig causing more drag and slowing you down

This reminds me, I should put up a few how-tos on replacing the speakers.

I wouldn't mind changing out the door speakers if that's really where the bass is coming from.

Andy, I am putting a new order together for a 2015, supposedly I can get the Bose without the sub? This is how the L1 pkg comes. Would that help the sound out?

Tks
Eddie

Funny, my JBL rep was talking to me a few months ago about letting JBL have my car to make a box. Problem is that they would have needed it for a few weeks and I live 5 hours from there.

Here is the Boise Info I researched about our Corvette speakers.Attachment 47808616

Attachment 47808617

I hope this will help all interested to understand the Corvette sound system and to freely commit on how they perceive the quality and sound produced. I have read in several reviews that the 10 speaker system was real Base
Heavy and the tonal adjustment didn't do much to help!!

Would appreciate input.

Eddie
