Can anyone justify the cost of having an aftermarket exhaust for those that have NPP and headers. Horsepower gains, weight reduction and or better sound? I want to just cause I have the mod bug, but see no reason especially at 1500+ just for tips and mufflers.

I had my local exhaust guy cut my factory mufflers out right before the butterfly valves, he installed two one chamber mufflers & new tips. It cost me around $300 & about an hour of my time. I had a non NPP automatic that sounded IMO like a Honda but now it sounds bad a$$.
Please excuse the picture it is the only one I have of the exhaust at the time & my car was in the body shop getting a few things done with the $ I saved from not buying $1500+ mufflers & tips.

If you have NPP and headers, you're paying for sound and tips.
There is no tangible HP gain, not much weight to be lost, and sound is subjective. If you have headers and still need more volume, you can look into the B&B Fusion, etc.
For my purposes, I'm glad I stuck with the NPP... It's going to be loud as hell. The only reason I'd want to change over would be for a rear angular tip without cutting the factory system.

I like the sound of my ride with headers and supercharger. I mentioned the question because I am wondering the selling point for vendors. I am sure the non-NPP need upgrading but like you said I see little advantage to changing.

There are quite a few people that will buy the Fusion or Bullet systems to change the factory note / loudness without adding headers, etc.
That falls under the 'intake & exhaust' mentality of modding. There just happens to be no gain from it here - at least from the NPP. 5 or so from the normal version.
I totally misread your question. Maybe somebody with a non NPP, no headers & looking to save a few bucks for killer sound will read my reply.
It's not a bad idea at all, but the thought of cutting the factory system doesn't appeal to many. That's a problem with one of the current offerings on the market, as well.
For resale value, it's far better to be able to set the factory system aside and put the new system on. One, it allows the car to go back to stock, and two, it allows you to sell the axle-back down the road.
That being said, if you're willing to weld, your option is far more reasonable.
