Default Any recommendations for tires?

I am currently running ARH 1 7/8" without cats. Waiting on delivery of my ECS and Alky Control kits. Looking for some tires to fit the z51 wheels. I will go to the drag strip once or twice but virtually all driving will take place on the streets. Thanks in advance.

Forgive me for my ignorance on the subject.

We have used them plenty of times with out a problem. I see them a lot on C7's. Tire rack will also tell you anything other than the stock size wont work.

Fair enough. Any idea for how long they are meant to last given the driving conditions I originally listed?

Currently running them. The rear is 285/35/20 instead of 30 for the profile. They hook quite well at track but they do hummm some on the street.

Thank you shftn7. If you don't mind:

Roughly how many miles do you have on them?
Are you running a different tire up front?

I have the exact same set up as you. I went with the nitto 555r's in the size 305-35-20 and they rubbed bad. Every turn and/or bump they would rub. They even rubbed while my car was on a dyno. At first I thought it was the width that was causing the rubbing but it was actually the thickness. You basically cannot use a larger diameter tire than the stock ones or they will rub. Just a little heads up so that you don't make the same mistake I did!

R888 are a great tire, but don't expect miracles if you have enough power. That being said I have R888 but Hoosier A6 or R6 is better.

Thanks for the input. Do you recommend running the same tires up front or doesn't matter?

So far about 300 miles. I have been to the track and brought my 1/4 time down by .6 with just the tire change. Flooding rain tonight I got caught in and the r888's did great.

I am not sure on a lowered car but mine is at stock ride height with 285/35/20 and I have a good inch before they would rub.

True but they hook with little 600rwhp. Went from a 2.3 60ft to 1.8.

That's a huge difference! What ET did you end up running?
I am planning on picking them up tomorrow. Do you run them up front too or just in the rear?
