The blower can support 900 horsepower and doesn't care too much whether the motor is 378 or 416ci, it will just be a little less boost psi on the 416. If you need more than 900 HP then you need a bigger blower.

I would say that it is well worth it. You can use the Novi 1500 to its full potential, as well as have the piece of mind knowing that the bottom end will support a lot more power/torque. We are building two currently, both on 1500 kits, and hope to see some great results and longevity from them! Also, there's always the potential to upgrade head units down the road to a 2200R if you choose.
