Are you satisfied with your NPP performance exhaust, or has it given you problems? If so, what did it take to correct them? Mine seems to have a mind of it's own. If I put it in Sport, or Track...it starts off loud, as it should then when it gets to 20 to 30 MPH it gets VERY quiet. Even with the sound management turned off, it still goes quiet at the same speed and stays quiet until you slow to around 20 MPH....Some say this is normal, I say not. Thanks for your input.

when the alternative is 3k for axlebacks I am satisfied with the NPP for now.
I wouldn't say I had a problem with it, but it just wasn't loud enough, so I installed B&B Bullets. Am I 100% satisfied with them? I wouldn't say I have a problem with it, but it's not as loud as my C6s with the Bullets, either.

Shop around... I've seen aftermarket options for around $1k, which is fairly ridiculous in itself for simple axlebacks, but still not $3k. I'll probably just go to a friend's high-end exhaust shop and have something custom made when it's time for that...
I didn't get the NPP just for the fact that I wanted it to sound like a sports car 100% of the time. I have a Corsa Xtreme with their XPipe and I love it.
I personally love it, and am very glad I purchased it! It's loud enough and has a mean growl when I want, but can really quiet down and become tame when I prefer that. For me, it is the ultimate exhaust since it does so many things well. I've had plenty of aftermarket systems in the past and it's nice finally being able to take long roadtrips or talk on the Bluetooth comfortably. Basically, my ears are enjoying the break from turbocharged 4-cylinder exhaust systems

If you have an automatic as soon as it shifts it gets quiet unless you keep feeding it throttle.
I tried pulling the #41 fuse and it STILL did the same thing...couldn't figure that one out !
The A6 drops into V4 mode pretty easily at any mode setting...When that happens all goes quiet as it restricts 80% or so of the flow through the exhaust. These are the valves ahead of the muffler, not the NPP's to the rear. You can tune that out with a Diablo FWIW..

Even when the sound management is turned off...The valves should still close?
I have Corsa extremes and the X pipe but bought the base exhaust knowing I was going to go to a Corsa system. I've drove the NPP C7 and at certain rpms there is the dreaded droan. I've also had folks say Oh no not in my car but when we went for a ride and the droan hit it was clear many don't know what droan is. Granted it is much improved over the C6 but it is there at times.
To help answer this question.......I was at the Corsa car shows a few weeks ago and said to the engineers there...... with the NPP being forced as a package don't you guys think that will negatively affect sales?
He replied w/o hesitation the vass majority of their signifant sales to C7 owners are to folks trashing the NPP. Said sales are better then expected. Must be some folks paying $1200 more for NPP and then another $2500 for the Corsa system. And could have something to do with the added 25-26 HP too.

Check your RPM range when it "goes quiet"
Venture you have up-shifted, thus dropped back below ~1700rpm, which is about when the sound starts to kick in.
So if you really want to hear it full time, you'll need to be at least a gear lower than you probably are...
