Road coarse tire pressure ?
A single number is not the answer, but the manual is a good starting point. You need to figure in sunny or cloudy, temperature, humidity, run time and break time.
You could run for an hour in 50 degree weather and have sever wear.......... or 15 minutes on a hot track with a 40 minute break period.......big difference.
Before I got my C7 to the track...waiting out winter..... I was reading posts about sever brake and tire wear. Folks claiming chewing up tires and brakes in one weekend!!! $$$$sss
Then talking to the guys at spring mountain and utilizing their braking techniques and taking care of the car........ I am pleased with how stock parts have held up.
I run with a group that has 3 classes of drivers for 20 minute sessions. Run about 10 laps in a 20 minute session. Lap 1 and 10 are warm up and cool down. Every other session I slow down on laps 5 or 6 if it is a hot track. Hammer it for laps 2,3,4,7,8,9 and rest the car in the middle. Between sessions I have a 40 minute break which is great to cool things down.
I see others hammering their brakes in the corners. Ron Fellows teaches to hit the brakes before you get into the corners. Funny when I smell burning brakes on the course or in the pits its always the dudes who run flat out and ride the brakes thru the corners!!!!
Sorry for the long answer........but IMHO there is not one right answer on what the pressure should be. It's your style and goals and skills too.
