Default Tire size question

I just purchased some cray brickyards 19x9.5 in front and 20x11 in back for my z51. The tires in front are 265/30r19 the back were 305/35r20 mickey thompson e/t streets. The rears were so tall that they rubbed the liners so im taking them off and selling them. Thats not the issue, the issue is the car freaked out and threw all kinds of lights because the rear tire was so tall and the front has a 30 sidewall. I want to order a 315/30r20 r888 for the rear. Will the car still freak out with the 30 sidewall up front? do i need taller tires up front? i really dont want to replace them as well as they are new.

The 265/30-19 front tire you are using is slightly smaller in diameter than the OE tire but the 305/35-20 rears are 1.7 " larger in diameter, creating your problem.

Going with the 315/30-20 will reduce the rear tire diameter by 1", so you need to increase the front tire's diameter by ~.7" to maintain the correct front/rear bias.

So i will need to sell the front tires and get a 265/35-19?

What if I did a 325/25zr20 super sport in the rear and kept the 265/30r19 in the front. Would that still be out?

Here is a calculator http://robrobinette.com/tire_diameter.htm

Stock 245/35-19 = 25.476 Tire diameter
Stock 285/30-20 = 26.732 Tire diameter

Hgt Difference = 1.256

265/30-19 = 25.259 Tire diameter
325/25-20 = 26.397 Tire diameter

Hgt Difference =1.138

This is close enough that it might not trip up the on-board computer.

The concerns are:

Will the rears rub on the inside.
Will they stick out to the outside and are you ok with it.
A profile of 25 can be unforgiving if you hit potholes or something in the road, not to mention that you will most likely feel every crack in the pavement.

Default C7 replacement tires

What brand tire are people going with when replacing your C7 OEM tires? I have 19,000 miles now and looking at replacements by the end of summer. Looking at Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Is the Firestone Firehawk 500 an option? Looking for quieter better riding tires?

I put Michelin Super Sport non run flat 265/35/19 on front and 305/30/20 on the rear. I like them better than OEM. It improved the ride and traction. Surprisingly I got 28,000 miles on them with some track days mixed in plus my car has a procharger making 572 rwhp.

I ran 265/35/19 front and 305/30/20 rear Dunlop Sport Maxx Race on my GS. They fit and rode great, a little taller, but narrower than stock widebody tires. Those sizes should be great for 19x9.5 and 20x11
I still have the tires if someone wants to make me an offer, 5 -6/32 of tread left.

I'm lowered on 265/35-18 front and 305/30-19 rear with no problems.
Now this combination is technically a bit shorter then stock thus lowering brings me back to the stock wheel arch gap.
