Default Engineering Descriptions

I have learned what I can in the first two months of ownership. Also from the various YouTube Videos about "how it works". Now I'm curious about some of the details, and would like to know how things work.

As an example - The accelerator has no perceived "linkages" = just wires, which I assume go to some A/D converters and get read. But I want to know what happens then. Obviously it detects how far the pedal is pushed, but does it also track the speed and force with which it was pushed. If so which systems get fed that information.

It is obvious to me that radical moves on just the accelerator pedal make changes to not only the engine, but the automatic transmission as well. Shift points change, and the down-shifting becomes more aggressive.
.
Any ideas on who to contact or where to go for that type of information? This C7 is a rabbit hole of technology and I want to know it as well as I knew my C4 and my C5.
