Default Paging Theta! MGW install issue!

I need assistance with the MGW shifter install. One of my T40 bolts that holds the lower box in apparently got the mother load of loctite put on it at the factory. It stripped and stripped badly. I believe I will have to take it to a local speed shop to have it removed. I was wondering if I can go ahead and install the shifter without the mgw lower box for now. Help from anyone with this knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

The last time this happened to me on an interior parts, I drilled the head off, used a soldering iron to heat up the stud/thread locker and then used a screw extractor.

Yes, you can install the shifter on the stock box.

Try heating up the bolt. If it's stripped, drill the head of the bolt and use an easy out. Heat I will help.

Upon further review. I had the same thing happen as NoOne in this thread. Hopefully GM will take care of it for me as well. Car won't go into 1-2 and doesn't show when it's in neutral now. It feels like it's in 1-2 but it shows 3-4 on the center screen. So I have 3-4-3-4-5-6-7-R. It's kinda strange. So I'll have to get that rectified first.
