Looking to install NPP exhaust (hopefully used). Will leave them open and not try to connect electronics. Do I need the actuators (unwired) to seal off the exhaust or is the damper rod (?) self sealing?
This is a good question. I swapped mine and got lucky that the valve actuators came with the NPP I bought but based on what I remember seeing with the actuators removed, it would be a good idea to cover the hole with something. If not I could see the mechanics of the valve possibly get rusted out over time. My .02..
Thanks. Assume you are running wide open all the time. Any thoughts or problems.
Yes running open all the time. No problems whatsoever. Car still gets quiet when the AFM valves open and close but I typically drive in Sport mode so its usually always loud.
Does anyone know if there is a fuse that can be pulled on the C7 and if so where is it? Has anyone done this and did you experience any problems or error messages? Thanks.

on my camaro, it was in the fuse box in the trunk, behind the trunk liner.. a 10 amp blue fuse.. labeled EXHST FLAP I believe...
so check your fuse boxes in the car and look for that... should show you the fuses in your owners manual too so you can find it in there first...
Thanks for info. Very helpful. I think I can proceed knowing what to expect.
WTB. Any one have NPP exhaust for sale. Several thousand miles - ok.
Why yes I do. I've got one. I've got all the original exhausts for '05, '09 Z06, and for my "14 Z51. Big basements make for lazy resale. Make it worth my while.
