Anyone gone with the CAI yet? If so, care to share your experience with the claim of 18 hp and 22 tq gain. I guess I am on the fence to use a "wet filter" for an engine pushing 460 hp plus, in the deisel world wet filter are not recommended. Then again I think it is because of the turbo.
Get AFE's kit with the dry filter then. Both filters work very well, I've run their oiled and their dry on various cars and never had an issue with any. I personally got both the oiled and the dry filters with my AFE intake kit so I could try each on the C7.
I have tested both the aFe oiled and dry filters. Zero difference on my car (with no other mods).
As for gains, it was less than advertised, but still noteworthy in my dyno tests. Max gains were +13/13 in the 5k RPM range. +10/10 at peak. More than any other single mod. See the plot of Run1 vs. Run14 here:

I did aFe dry filter. Oiled is supposed to flow a little better but, for the hassle of the oiled I was not interested in 10 / 10ths performance and was happy with 9 / 10ths outcome with dry.
Without a tune to back it, I assume 10 to 13 hp difference to manage my expectations of CAI alone.
It seems based on Diablo tune differences between stock and with the aFe CAI tune, that would be supported also.
About 10 real HP is not bad. The sound difference alone sold me on it.
