Turn on rear camera while driving forward?
My C7 Convertible does not allow for a clear view through the rear view mirror especially for low levels like when cars approach. This is problematic in that a good rear view is needed even while driving forward as cars pass, or approach or other situations. The car has a rear camera that works great when put in reverse. However, I would like to be able to turn the camera on and keep it on when I am driving forward, especially on highways and interstates. So... Question:
Does anyone know how to turn on the rear camera display when traveling forward?
This would be a great help especially in the convertible where it is so hard to see out the rear window.

I'm sure it can be hacked to turn on when not in reverse but it would prob. require tricking the car to be in reverse which would turn the reverse lights on and poss. really confuse the car.

So I am looking to switch the rear camera on while driving, but not anything else connected to the reverse function.
