Took my car in to have the center screen replaced today, and they did the following updates:
BCM
Radio
IPC
HVAC
Can anyone tell me in one sentence per, what these are? This is an early 14, it's never been in for service until now

Did they ask before they updated? I would hate to go in with my diablo tune installed and have them write over it.
A few of the early screens had some problem and was addressed in a service nov '13 bulletin saying that in Feb 2014, they would have a new screen avail. This is that screen and this tech told me the wires looked different. The part is $145, covered by warranty, and took 1.3 hours to change out. The part is not on backorder and avail so it means it 's not a "sky is falling" type thing, My dealer, which is a large dealer, said I was the 2nd one he had done. It has nothing to do with how much you put the screen up or down acc to him.
As far as the updates, I asked for them to be done, not fearing anything as my engine/electrical system is stock. I showed him my curb alert wiring, and he was very cool, saying all he would ask is that Ipower it down by yanking the fuse so he could do the updates.
good experience at AutoNation- fort lauderdale - service advisor was Tara, Vette tech is John.
