Default New personal best last night..

Air was pretty good and cool. Track wasn't good at all after the first run due to oil from more than a few cars. Track was shut down 3 times from 6 to 9 pm.

Prior to this my best was 11.61/120.10

I initially posted this in the Z06 section (thinking I was in the tech section) and they, thinking I had a Z06 and was posting my Z06 time , was told that I had a good 60 foot time but the mile per hour was off.........so a 1.71 would be a good 60 ft time for the Z06?

Nice run VNAMVET.......I was at Brandenton also and experienced the same condition and problems. I just could not get into rhythm with those issues. However, my trap speed went up 2.3.....from 116.0 to 118.3 from last time. I had 5000 miles on the car during that time. I still believe that have at least two tenths quicker if I could just get my 60' down without spinning. The track was just too tricky.

The auto's are actually 11 second cars. However, the M7's are so difficult to launch hampering it from getting into the 11's. Myself and VNAMVET run at the same track just not on the same days. There is nothing fancy about launching the auto's.....quite a few modes that you can use that only you could feel comfortable with. However, I know it sounds kind of crazy sometimes that these cars have no trouble running in the 11's. I was approached by a C5 Convertible guy who witness my subpar pass of 12.03@117. I ended up running 11.88@118.3 that day. He actually ask me the same question.....what did you do to you car 12.03 is fast. He continue to say that most of the C7 were running 12.40's. That does not surprise me because I would bet that those C7's were manuals. Just put it this way, the C7's auto are great for 1/4 mile track. Manuals would probably have the advantage on the track course, I reckon.

The M7 has more power. If you could just get that 60' down in the 1.7's it would go at least high 11's on stock tires. The guys with drag radials are going 11.70's. I do believe the M7 is in fact faster just not as quick.

I believe my 11.5 is about it for this car. Hooked well in the cold (55 degree) air and went straight.

I may run again in Jan/ Feb just to insure that the car cannot do any better.

Well I won't be satisfied until I get my 60' down. Its kind of hard to settle for 11.88 when you know there could be more. If not I just move forward. Last time I ran my air pressure at 26 psi.....don't know if that helped or not.
