Default Diablo Tunes and Engine Efficiency

Have a new Vette A8 coming this spring and I've been interested in Diablo turns. I'm not really interested in more HP for HP sake. These cars have all the HP I need.

I understand that increased HP comes with the Diablo tune, but that is not a reason for me to install a Diablo tune. I'm interested in a tune that makes my car operate more efficiently with increased throttle response, shifting efficiency, MPG, etc.

Does the Diablo 93 octane tune improve MPG or does MPG decrease as a tradeoff for other benefits? I'm looking for reasons other than HP increase to do the Diablo tune.

And PLEASE, no warranty posts. I'm not asking about warranty implications and frankly exhausted from people hijacking these threads with warranty warnings, and other unsolicited warnings/advice. Thanks.

I would suggest you get the car first and see how you like it, pretty damn awesome as is.

completely agree. My inclination is to do nothing but love the car.

But if the tune makes the car more efficient improves on the factory tune, I would be interested.

well I have a 2015 and I received my Intune over 6 weeks ago from maryland speed and I am still waiting on a tune for my car as the current ones do not see my TCM. I have been given 5 different tunes and none have worked so Im still waiting. So depending on whether or not they happen to have your TCM/PCM soecs or not may be an issue. Of course Maryland wont take it back unless the device deemed bad by Diablo and they say the device is good I just have to wait for them to a tune for my particular TCM/PCM.

Edit, I just realized you have a 2015. We have not released support for the 8 speed TCM just yet, please be patient as this is not something we have advertised as being available currently.

Thanks
