Default 810whp dyno video, built by Boost Works...

Finally got around to tuning and dynoing the car... Steve at LMR tuned the car for me and everything went great... I have the stock fuel system with a 416 stroker, boostworks heads, ARH long tubes, devils own meth system, LMR custom cam, ECS 1500 kit that makes 13 pounds, RXT McLeod twin disk... We maxed out the stock in tank pumps at 6k rpm. So on the dyno he makes a pull to 6k and gets out of it... The fuel system is next and should put me 900+ WHP...

What are you doing for a fuel system?

Thanks, Doug! We'll be upgrading to the 2200R and a solid fuel system in the coming months.

The car came out great.. Has our 1000s package, with a few additional upgrades. We had a nice set of wheels made for it, and the customer added a set of skirts/front splitter.

Here's a mod list:

Boost Works assembled 416ci short block (10:1 C/R)
CNC ported heads
Titanium retainers, and PAC Alloy springs
LMR tool steel cam with 38% fuel lobe
ARP head studs/ARP main studs/Side bolts
Texas Speed HD pushrods
Comp Trunion kit with ARP rocker bolts
Cometic MLS head gaskets
Modified Clevite H series LSx bearings

ECS 1500 kit
LMR catch can
McLeod RXT clutch/flywheel
American Racing 1 7/8" LT's with 3" x-pipe
Devil's Own single nozzle methanol kit
Stock dual mode mufflers
Custom True Forged 3 piece wheels, 20 x 11 and 20 x 9
Toyo R888 (rear)
Michelin Pilot Sport (front)
Side skirts and front splitter
Blacked out badging
Boost Works C7 1000s Badging

The car was tuned by Steven and Jason over at LMR. We've enjoyed working with these guys, and they definitely know their stuff when it comes to tuning these cars.

We'll get a fuel system in place, and see what we can make with the Novi 1500. I think the record is upper 800's. The in-tank pump is maxed out at an HONEST 810whp. That's about the limit on this particular dyno with the stock in-tank pump, and no trickery.

Without starting a fuss, I'm curious what the last part meant regarding the "honest 810whp" on the Novi 1500.

My (very reproducible) 893whp is on the stock fuel pump, a 35% fuel lobe cam, 93-octane, and a dual-nozzle Alky system with a relatively-similar setup to this car.

I think that's about tops for the 1500, but we would have still had a little room to go higher on the stock pump with a 2200r (but not much, obviously).

I might have just read into it wrong, so please don't take offense. I was just a bit curious about that part.

Side note: I wish I had that clutch/flywheel in mine.

No offense taken..

Just meant that it was made without any assistance of nitrous, crazy/unrealistic timing, or anything like that. That's a good number for this particular dyno, which reads a little lower than most. To top it off, we were making that number at 6200rpm. So, we were proud to get that. Most cars max out at around 800whp on this particular dyno with the stock in-tank pump.

I'm interested to see what we make when we get a solid fuel system in the car. I think we'll see 850-875whp on LMR's dyno with a better in-tank pump.

Your car makes pretty sick power!

That's kind of what I was thinking you meant, and I saw from some other results that your dyno does read lower that most (not necessarily a bad thing).

I know what you mean about 'suicide' / crazy timing dyno runs, though - seen a fair bit of those, and it's never fun for the owner.

I'm also interested in seeing what the upgraded fuel pump allows for - regardless of the dyno numbers, the scaling will be the indicator. I had mine finished up right before the LT4 pump became available. Always something bigger and better coming out... Ahh, toys.

Yeah, at the end of the day, we have to remember that the dyno is just a tuning tool. Of course, we all get caught up in the HP numbers.. even after 15 years in this game, I still do it too.

With the 38% lobe, and a spring, I think we should be good to over 1000whp. Eventually, the car is getting the head unit upgrade, so I think with the lift pump upgrade, we might see 1050 or so. Seems to be the norm for that combo. The car is stupid fast as it sits. My buddy was dead nuts even with a 1000RR bike the other day. That's a high 9 second bike. So, the car feels just about right at the power it's making.

Always something upgrade.. It's never "finished".

That's the one benefit of having the smaller supercharger. It's got a 3" pulley, and it definitely gets spun up at lower engine RPM. Makes for a good bit of area under the curve.. and a lot of wheel spin.

The looks you get when you stick with, or pull on a liter bike, priceless!

Glad we could help Travis, car definitely turned out nice. With the addition of our fuel system and if you do upgrade the head unit, we WILL make over 1000rwhp.
