Default Torquing a bolt (first pass) (final pass) ???

* First pass 44 lb ft
* Final pass plus 30 degrees

So I torque to 44 then turn and additional 30 degrees? Is this right?
Does this mean it's a TTY bolt? It does not say it is. Why wouldn't they simply have a torque spec?

That's how I interpret it. I've done TTY headstuds like that on previous cars with torquing instructions written similarly.

Torque to 44 and then turn 30 degrees more. TTY type of instruction.

Some electronic torque wrenches have an angle feature on them where you can set the angle. You turn to the torque you desire and set the angle and then turn again.

I'm currently using the Gear Wrench 85074. It's a 1/2" drive, but they mark an equally featured 3/8 drive as well.

Snap On and several of the other tool trucks have them too and an exorbitantly exaggerated price.

Additionally, Brown Line makes a digital angle guage that attaches with magnets to a torque wrench, ratchet handle, wrench, breaker bar or similar, makes it attachable to tool of any drive size.

torque to yield; stretch.

Single use bolts - should be replaced and not re-used during assembly in my experience.
