Default Fuel Removal Question

Is there a way to drain fuel from the Z06? I know - drive it like you stole it and all that, but that's not a good option in my case.

The fill neck has a grid that prevents siphoning. Car needs to have less than a quarter tank for display in a convention center. As luck would have it, I filled it this past weekend and there's snow on the ground.

I've reviewed the owners manual with no success. Thanks for any help you can provide.

This is not the official correct thing to do, but works well if you pay attention. At our shop, we jump a fused 12v wire to the output terminal for the fuel pump relay at the fuse box. Remove the fuel line at the engine. You will need to find some way to go from the fitting to your storage recepticle (we use the cut off male fitting from an old GM fuel filter clamped to a long 3/8" hose). Be very carefull to not spill anything and have GOOD ventilation (NO light bulbs, power equipment or pilot lights around). It takes 1/2 hour more or less for a full tank. Stay there and watch closely for spills and don't let your gas cans run over. Good luck. Slim
