Got it, very simple actually! Press the red collar into the manifold then gently pull back on the hose. It will then slip right out.
Jut to confirm as I and at that point of the dreaded red collar---
What do you mean by pushing the collar INTO the manifold ??
Do you mean push the collar TOWARDS the manifold side ?
OR simply push on the collar
If you mean push it towards the manifold--will a skinny screwdriver do it or do I need the plastic tool that pushes it more around the whole red collar ??
Thanks
The harder the hose is pulled, the tighter the red collar grips. Gently push the hose towards the intake manifold and the red collar should loosen up enough to push it in (towards the intake manifold) either by hand or with a small screwdriver. Think of it as a Chinese finger trap

Thanks got it off this morning---just didn't want to break anything---
Inside of intake was oily shiny but no oil film on your fingers when rubbing-- Hoping this is OK as I do have a UPR catch can---With the stock PCV do you know how oily the LT gets ????
-Mine had a horrible mismatch at the seams !! especially on the floor of the intake--On the top there is a 2nd seam further back that I couldn't reach with my porting tools and looks like it will have to be hand blended----I am doing it myself as I've mildly ported many LS intake before---
