Default Restrictor Plates for ECS Question

So obviously they provide one for 7 and one for 8 lbs... Which is which? I would imagine the one with the slightly larger opening is the 8 lb plate?

You got it. Smaller = 7, and larger = 8.

Unless Theta steps in to state otherwise, I stand corrected. He loves these types of conversations, LOL....

No, you're right. Larger hole = more air = more boost.

Do other companies that make centrifugal SCs use restrictor plates too? I like the ECS because it's the most OEM looking. And mere mortals with a good set of tools can install it?

Not at the same level as we do, some have inlet ducts that are restrictive and create their own restrictor that way, but it's not "programmable". Meaning your not going to change the restrictor to get another LB of boost very easily like we can.

The nice part about it is that besides the additional TQ from an ECS kit, you have the option to make 500-700+ RWHP from the same kit. Not a single penny needs to be spent on the kit to be anywhere in between there. Every other kit would require to spend additional money on pulleys. Just add your meth injection for the octane needed, remove the restrictor and you have 700 rwhp.

No other kit makes it as easy as that to upgrade.
