Default UPR sent me the wrong hoses

UPR sent me hoses that will not work with my non Z51 car. Long hose is too short.

Short hose is supposed to go from crank case to inlet while long hose with check valve is outlet to intake. Mine are clearly made wrong. The question I have is this:

Can I take the short hose apart and flip the check valve around for use as a crank case to inlet hose? I'd have to flip the check valve or it won't vent to the inlet of the catch can.

I think somewhere on the forum I read there is already a check valve at the crank case nipple. I would make sure you leave that check valve at the output of catch can to intake as the kit designed for. Either way, you should be able to swing the catch can closer to the block to make the short hose work. If not, you can take them apart to change to longer hose. If need to, upr will send you new hose or you can just go to local hose place get some nylon braided 3/8 hose. Be warned... To remove hose off the straight connector,it suck *****. Because of the fake AN fitting cover, you can't use picker or small screw driver to remove it. It take some twist and turn and cussing. It will go eventually.

Why not call the vendor, explain the problem, and have them ship the correct hoses?

I had the same issue. I contacted UPR and then sent photos illustrating the problem and they got me out another hose and the problem was solved. They must have had a bad batch go out.

Several reports in this thread. Also a response from the owner regarding shipping new hoses: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...an-review.html

I think that everyone who had this issue has received new hoses.

They are indeed a pain to take apart. Wrapped tape around the connector and put a vice grip on it so I could hold it with my feet. Just wanted to see if I coud get it apart in case swapping the hoses with the reversed check valve was cool.

Did that too. Was just trying to think of a way to get it on the car without having to wait another week.

UPR Sent me the wrong cap for the Dry Sump, called them and they said it would be 2 weeks until they could send me the right part.

I am not impressed with their quality control or packaging. When you buy a product as simple as a catch can (which they are selling at a premium), how hard is it to assemble the right parts?

I spoke with UPR and they were saying oh we don't have any replacement parts available for two weeks. Nice to know they actually support the product they designed.

Not happy at all.

My apologies, I am working hard to eliminate these issues as we had a lot of staff changes here and it has resulted in a few things being needing to be updated. Hired a new purchasing
agent and some of the local knowledge that we uncovered and had to set new procedures for. I have the new line in 13.5" from Hose end to Hose end not including the fittings are on
stand-by along with the 3/8" caps that just arrived yesterday.

I agree and got involved when I was alerted to this and got the parts in to be shipped out.

anyone with the shorter hose that has not talked to us about it yet please email me at catchcanstore@gmail.com so I can take care of you right away.

Thank you, Joe

I assume at some point I'll get a new hose, but for now I got 1ft of regular rubber 3/8" hose and fabbed up a return line that will work with the fittings and check valve from the short hose. About $1.75 and 10 minutes to throw it together. Could be worse I guess. At least it's on the car now.
