weaponx.com

the flex fuel sensor and appropriate tune will allow the engine computer to measure alcohol content in the fuel and make necessary changes to the fuel mixture and spark timing in order to take advantage of running E85 as your car can make more power properly using E85. If there is no E85 fuel stations in your area then this would be a pointless modification.

most guys are doing it themselves. i'm cheap so i just built a full tune for E85 but I have to reflash the computer for 93. the kit will make it so the car adjusts automatically.

I can't see a time when I will run anything other than E85, I don't road trip the car or anything so for me it's moot.

Higgs I'm cheap too. What are you using to tune with? Is there a DIY posted up on how to do this kit? Something I would like to do as well.

I'm in Texas as well, maybe I send my car to your "tune shop"

Sure, I can definitely tune it for you.

I use HP Tuners to tune GM vehicles. There is a thread or two about installing the Flex Fuel sensor but nothing I have seen on just changing the fuel and making a new tune. It's not too hard if you know what to do. I can do it for you or walk you through it, either way. HP Tuners has a learning curve though, I will warn you.

Really? That would be great! I'll take a look at the kit on weaponx site and if it sounds like something I will do I will be touch. Thanks so much for the offer! If we did this maybe I could learn a few things from you and buy my own tuner after for future adjustments.

How is this type of tune compared to what a shop would do? Same stuff?

Hawk03, thanks for confirmation sir! Is there a reason you went with pro over the standard?

yes, it's a custom tune made for your car.

go with pro so you can easily hook up a wideband oxygen sensor.

As Higgs Boson mentioned, the pro lets you use a wideband.

Higgs Boson- PM sent.

Pretty sure I just found this flex fuel sensor for $45-$55 bucks. Is there something I'm missing on why weaponX wants $600?

I'm guessing I have the wrong part number but it looks exactly the same so I'm curious!

EDIT: Nevermind I've been reading some other topics I see that it's a kit with more then the sensor.
