For those of you that had your headers coated, did you have the cats and x pipe coated as well? Does anyone see a benefit to coating everything back to the catback? Would it help with floorboard/cabin temps?
Stainless just tends to look like a** after some heat cycles and I am definitely going to coat the headers, I just wondered if there is any benefit to coating the entire system besides just appearance?
I had my headers coated inside and out, they offered to do the X Pipe for me, and in retrospect I wish I would have had it done, to help with ambient heat coming through the tunnel.
The place I had them done at will do the entire pipe, I would go that way now. Mine were done at Superior Coatings in Sheboygan, WI.
They did a 2000 degree black on the inside and 1500 degree ceramacote on the outside. It has held up excellent.
