Low front plate mount

The two GM supplied options for front license plate mounting leave a lot to be desired. So I modified the in-grille plate holder and its grilled fasteners to place the holder bottom flush with the car's splitter. To me this looks a lot better and should minimize blockage of air to the radiator. I used SS hardware. The two main screws are 1/4x20 by 1 1/2" long. #4x40 used on the grille fasteners and #6x32 for aluminum brackets attached to plate holder.

Thanks for posting! I really like the way this minimizes blocking the grill. I saved the photos so that I can copy your idea when I get my Z06.

I like the way you used the stock fasteners to hold the plate to the grille..
Does it just rest against the splitter on the bottom?
