Here in Cali the gasoline has 10% ethanol. Ethanol presents a serious water contamination problem in my opinion. I'd absolutely try to avoid ethanol if possible. I have a C6 and I have no idea what problem ethanol is for C6's and C7's. I can't think that'd it be good for the car.
For my 68 resto-mod with an all new everyting, I buy $10 a gallon racing fuel here in Cali that is alcohol free. I use this in my mostly storaged car. When convenient I plan to buy the expensive gasoline for the C6 since I don't want alcohol water corrosion in this car.
Why did I post in C7? I was looking for something in C7.
Anyways.........back to more educated programming.
Mine is typically always 74% but I have one station about 8 miles away that I fill up my C7 and 2015 6.2L 1500 truck (neither of which are Flex vehicles) so it stays consistent. I would imagine different states/brands/etc will vary. Also, winter blends have less alcohol so if people in your area don't use much E85 then maybe it hasn't run out yet in favor of summer blend...?
I'm seeing right around 80% (79-82) consistently from a Speedway near my house. On a couple occasions I refueled at Meijer and both times it stayed between 64-67%.
Ben from WeaponX is local to me and I chatted with him about this at a recent dyno day and he was seeing the same from Speedways in our area and was right at 80% as well.
