Just installed one, mines a wet sump, seemed to start smoking around the same time but who knows, hoping it's just a burping that I can address, and not a bigger issue on the horizon

My lifters that went bad were from AFM at aprox 5800 miles. The lifters were deformed and the pin that holds them was not setting correctly on passenger side. After lifter replacement my engine blows next day. I shouldn't have to turn off AFM to make my car last longer, part of the reason I went from my ZL1 to C7 is for this feature as it is nice to avg 25 MPG rather than 13.
